Chocolate Raspberry Walnut Torte
Torte:
1 - 11 oz. jar Maury Island Farm brand Red Raspberry Jam
6 oz. finely ground walnuts
3/4 Cup butter
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 Cup sugar
1 Cup flour
1 Tsp. cinnamon
1/4 Tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. grated orange zest
Glaze:
4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
3 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. Grand Marnier liqueur
Torte:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour a 9 inch spring form pan.
- Blend well the butter, egg, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl combine the ground walnuts, flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and orange zest. Add to the egg mixture.
- Divide the dough evenly, and spread half across the bottom of the pan. Now spread the contents of an 11 oz. jar of Maury Island Farm brand Red Raspberry Jam evenly over the dough in the pan.
- Form the remaining dough into flat pieces and place on top of the jam to form a second layer. Bake 35-40 minutes.
Glaze:
Melt semi-sweet chocolate with butter and Grand Marnier liqueur. Spread this over the top of the torte as a glaze as soon as it can be removed from the spring pan.
To serve, top with whipped cream, in which you have included a tablespoon of Grand Marnier. Serves 8-10.
